May 2022 Devotional

I am encouraged in my heart when I read the following verse.

“Remember that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself. The Lord hears me when I cry out.”
Psalm 4:3 (NIrV)

I have lived my life two ways. One was under my own guidance and intellect. The second way has been under the guidance of the Lord who hears me cry out. I can tell you from many years of experience that the second is a more peaceful and joyful way to live. I have never regretted giving my Lord the reigns of my life and letting Him guide it. My shoulders are not big enough to bear the burdens that have come to me over the years, but they are big enough for my Lord to bear for me.
